President Donald Trump filed a $15 billion defamation lawsuit against The New York Times, four of its reporters, and publisher Penguin Random House yesterday.

The suit, lodged in a Florida federal court, accuses them of publishing false and damaging claims in articles and a 2024 book titled Lucky Loser: How Donald Trump Squandered His Father’s Fortune and Created the Illusion of Success.

Trump’s lawyers argue the publications harmed his reputation, business interests, and brand value, pointing to declines in Trump Media and Technology Group’s stock.

Neither the Times nor Penguin immediately responded.

The lawsuit follows Trump’s earlier legal battles against the Wall Street Journal and CBS, reflecting his intensified campaign against media outlets critical of him.
