Women dominated the Grammy Awards last night, with wins in major categories. Taylor Swift won her fourth Album of the Year for ‘Midnights.’ The win pushed her past Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder for the most in Grammy history.

While receiving her Grammy, Swift announced her new album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ will be out on April 19.

Other winners included Miley Cyrus (Record of the Year), Billie Eilish (Song of the Year), SZA (Best R&B song), Colombian pop star Karol G (Best Musica Urbana Album), Lainey Wilson (Best Country Album) and the band Boygenius (Best Alternative Music Album).

Their wins reflected 2023 as “the year of the girl,” with record-breaking successes of Beyonce’s Renaissance, Taylor Swift’s Eras World Tour and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.

The night also featured stellar performances from Dua Lipa, Cyrus and Olivia Rodrigo.

A highlight was Luke Combs and Tracy Chapman’s duet on “Fast Car” and Fantasia Barrino-Taylor’s fiery tribute to the late Tina Turner.

Rapper Killer Mike was detained by the police after winning three Grammys, his first in over two decades. It was due to an altercation inside the Crypto.com Arena, said the LAPD.
