The music festival that never happened, Fyre Fest, is back. Its incarcerated organizer, Billy McFarland, announced that Fyre Festival II’s initial tickets sold out within two days.

According to the festival website, tickets are priced between $499 and $7,999. Presale ticket sales alone could bring in $1.2 million for McFarland.

The event, however, is yet to solidify. So far, no announcements have been made of the musician line-ups or the location. It is expected to take place on December 26, 2024.

Money from ticket sales will be held in escrow until the dates of Fyre Festival II are final.

Fyre Fest flashback
McFarland and rapper Ja Rule promoted the Fyre Festival in 2017, which ended in a disaster, with attendees finding out that promised artists, luxury stays, and gourmet foods didn’t show up at the venue in the Bahamas.

It eventually led to McFarland going to prison in 2018 for defrauding investors for more than $27 million. He was released in March 2022.
