A vast majority—69%—of Americans believe that the US economy is getting worse as they battle the highest inflation in over four decades, per a poll released Sunday.
Respondents of the ABC/Ipsos poll shrugged off the latest employment report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics that showed 528,000 jobs were added in July and the unemployment rate was down to 3.5%.
Biden popularity hit
Only 29% of those polled approve of President Joe Biden’s hold on inflation, which is at a 41-year high.
Over 60% of respondents said they did not want Biden to lead the US anymore.
