Florida governor Ron DeSantis is reportedly revving up for his 2024 presidential run as fellow Republican Donald Trump kick-starts his campaign in key early-voting states—New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Polls and a survey released last week show governor DeSantis ahead of Trump as a likely Republican candidate but DeSantis has not announced his run.

DeSantis is seen as a formidable rival to Trump and the ex-president is already bitter about it. “Ron would have not been governor if it wasn’t for me… when I hear he might run, I consider that very disloyal,” said the former president during his weekend campaign.
