Bolstering a Democratic Senate majority, Sen Raphael Warnock won the Georgia runoff Tuesday. Warnock led the Republican candidate and former football player Herschel Walker by around 40,000 votes, per the Associated Press.
Defeating the GOP candidate hand-picked by former president Donald Trump, Warnock’s win gave the Senate its 51st seat and secured his first full term.
