The law aims to lower homebuyer costs and restrict institutional investors
President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social yesterday morning that he would not sign the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, which has been approved by Congress, “in PROTEST over the fact that the United States Senate is not capable of passing THE SAVE AMERICA ACT.”
The Housing Act aims to lower homebuyer costs and restrict institutional investors. It is one of Congress’s most significant efforts to address America’s housing crisis.
The White House clarified yesterday that Trump would not veto the legislation, allowing it to automatically take effect at midnight after the 10-day constitutional deadline expired.
