Amazon CEO Andy Jassy reportedly flagged concerns that the company’s new model, Fable, could be “jailbroken,” according to the new details that have come to light about the White House and Anthropic dispute.

Soon, the Commerce Department issued a mandate citing national security concerns, forcing the AI startup to abruptly disable the models for all foreign customers to ensure compliance.

It remains unclear how long the US restrictions will be in place for the AI models.

The company has since said no testers have found a universal jailbreak, and senior executives are now in Washington meeting with officials.
