As the holiday season approaches, retail giants Amazon, Target and Macy’s announced they will be hiring hundreds of thousands of seasonal and full-time workers to help with the expected rush.
Amazon will hire 250,000 workers, a hike from the 150,000 employees it added last year. Target will add 100,000 part-timers, who could transition to full-time positions. Macy’s plans on filling 38,000 full and part-time seasonal positions.
Hired workers will be handling everything, from warehouses and storefronts to delivery.
To get your holiday gift orders on time, the U.S. Postal Service (UPS) will hire 10,000 workers in general.
Last year, UPS handled 11.2 billion mail and packages during the holiday season.
