The NBA has banned Toronto Raptors forward Jontay Porter for alleged involvement in gambling activities, including betting on games and sharing insider information with others.

The 24-year-old is accused of manipulating his health status during a March 20 game to influence a bet, prompting an investigation by the league. The bet in question amounted to around $80,000 for underperformance.

Porter himself had bet more than $54,000 on NBA games this year and won over $76,000, per the league’s investigation. He profited $21,965 from 13 bets made during his time in the G League.
