Tennis icon Serena Williams accepted a wild card entry into the doubles draw at the Queen’s Club in London next week, marking her comeback after almost four years.
It marks the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion’s first competitive appearance since the 2022 US Open.
The 44-year-old mother of two previously stated she was “evolving away from tennis.” However, she recently expressed her excitement to return to grass courts.
She remains the only player in tennis history to achieve a career Golden Slam in both singles and doubles. It means winning an Olympic gold medal, the US Open, the Australian Open, the French Open, and Wimbledon.
