Apple is gearing up for its first major product event under new CEO John Ternus.
Here’s what tech watchers expect from the “Surprise and shine” event on Wednesday.
While Apple has often launched its new base iPhone at its September event, this year it may skip that and move straight to debuting the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
The iPhone 18 could be delayed until spring 2027, alongside the iPhone 18e and an updated iPhone Air.
The iPhone 18 lineup could come in colors including black, silver, light blue and dark cherry, although reports differ on the final color options.
Apple could also unveil its first foldable device, the passport-style rumored “iPhone Ultra,” similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Xiaomi’s 18 Fold.
Additional reveals may feature the Apple Watch Series 12, which is rumored to revive a ceramic case option.
New AirPods 5 earbuds may also arrive, although not with camera-equipped models.
The event starts at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT and will be livestreamed on Apple’s website, Apple TV, and YouTube.
