Bose’s latest earbuds arrive as sales of wired headphones climbed 10% in late 2025 and 20% in early 2026|Bose Pressroom
The renewed popularity of wired headphones among young people has led Bose to return to the category for the first time in 11 years.
The Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds will be available for $99 on October 15. Preorders, however, are already live. The corded headphones offer USB-C connectivity on a 4.2-foot cable. It comes in three colors: black, white smoke, and a limited-edition mint green.

The company’s consumer audio president, Raza Haider, noticed that his teen’s college mates were all wearing wired headphones. He said that led Bose to develop the product in nine months.
Wired notes that the return to wired headphones is a national trend, with several celebrities and musicians sporting them. They are the most prevalent among Gen Zers and Gen Alpha, who seem to ditch new tech for retro-style gadgets.
