They went as far as saying that Siri AI can hold its own against Claude and ChatGPT.
The new Siri is in beta, and users can opt in and join a waitlist. It comes ahead of the iPhone 18 launch.
Since its announcement in 2024, the AI assistant has been delayed and was finally revealed in June.

But according to CNBC's MacKenzie Sigalos, the Siri AI assistant strains battery life and is slow to respond, despite relying on Google Cloud infrastructure with Nvidia and Intel chips to process complex queries.

CNET said it likes the intuitive Safari updates, stronger child safety measures, and user control over Liquid Glass transparency levels.
It is initially available in English, with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish arriving next month.
