Twitter has lost half of its top 100 advertisers after Elon Musk took over the company’s reins as its CEO, per a report released by Media Matters for America.

According to the report, these 50 advertisers have spent about $2 billion on Twitter ads since 2020 and more than $750 million in 2022 alone till mid-November.

Companies like Chevrolet, Chipotle Mexican Grill, and Ford released statements about withdrawing from advertising on the platform. The report calls a few advertisers “quiet quitters” who seem to have stopped advertising after Musk’s takeover.
