The resorts and hotels offering all-inclusive stays are seeing a surge in bookings
As summer nears, several inflation-weary families and high-income travelers are seeking luxury vacations with fixed costs.
The resorts and hotels offering all-inclusive stays are seeing a surge in bookings. Hotels.com searches for all-inclusive stays jumped 70% from last year, while Hyatt reported an 84% occupancy rate in the Americas during the first three months of the year.
Fora travel agency notes that these resorts cost roughly $250 less per night than popular European beach destinations. They have seen bookings more than double since last year.
A Hyatt-commissioned survey shows that 84% of people who have stayed at an all-inclusive resort have become repeat visitors.
Once associated with budget travelers, the all-inclusive packages are upscaling to attract affluent customers.
- The Ritz-Carlton plans to open a luxury all-inclusive resort in Cancun by 2027.
- Marriott announced plans to double its footprint in the Caribbean and Latin America to nearly 1,000 properties by 2030. Among them are 13 luxury, all-inclusive resorts offering high-end amenities, including private butlers.
For many, all-inclusive getaways are a worry-free format of travel. It also removes the shock of seeing how much inflation has driven up holiday travel prices.
