In a push to boost the Canadian travel industry, the country is removing its COVID-19 vaccine and mask requirement for travelers from October 1.

Hong Kong and Japan are doing something similar.

After more than two-and-a-half years, Hong Kong is doing away with mandatory COVID-19 hotel quarantine for international arrivals. But for three days, international travelers will be barred from bars and restaurants. On the other hand, from October 11, Japan is lifting its daily cap of 50,000 visitors and it will no longer have a ban on individual travelers.
