Google Flights is offering services similar to other flight search engines but says it has newer insights that zero in on the best time to book the cheapest flights
Google Flights released new features yesterday that promise travelers cheap flights, refunds in case of ticket price drops, and the most talked about feature that guides flyers in finding the cheapest time to book their travels.
The search engine kingpin’s flight search platform is offering services similar to Skyscanner, Expedia, Hopper, Kayak, etc., but says it has newer insights that zero in on the best time to book the cheapest flights—aka 2023 flight booking trends.

This year’s trends show that the best deal on flight tickets for Christmas is an average of 71 days before travel (somewhere between October 13 and October 15), a huge change from the previous year’s prediction of 22 days before departure.
For international departures from the U.S. to Europe, Google Flights recommends flyers book tickets at least 72 days in advance, after which prices will start climbing.
The flight booking trends are a game changer for flyers and use historical trend data to accurately guess price ranges, says Google.
