Las Vegas welcomed about 400,000 fewer visitors in June than the same time in 2024

Las Vegas is feeling the chill this year, with tourism down roughly 11%, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

In June alone, the city welcomed about 400,000 fewer visitors than last year, leaving hotel rooms emptier and convention halls quieter.

Often seen as a bellwether for the US economy, Vegas thrives on big spenders and bustling casinos—making this slowdown hard to ignore.

The drop comes as President Donald Trump’s trade war fuels global travel tensions and international visitors skip US trips.

The World Travel & Tourism Council predicts foreign spending in America will plunge $12.5 billion this year to $169 billion, down 22.5% from its peak, leaving the city’s famous neon glow a little dimmer.
