Portugal-based startup Amble has unveiled the Amble One, a $25,000, street-legal, lightweight electric buggy that could be used in luxury resorts, golf courses, or private estates.

Designed by Julian Hoenig, an alumnus of Apple’s canceled car project, the vehicle borrows design philosophy from NASA’s lunar rover. It was conceptualized when co-founder Jose Antonio Uva was complaining about the outdated buggies he had to purchase for one of his luxury resorts in Europe.

The luxury buggy features an open, doorless aesthetic. It has a top speed of about 40 mph and weighs under 992 pounds. Charging takes up to five hours on a standard home socket.

Amble is targeting high-end hospitality first, already securing 12 clients, over 500 vehicle commitments, and more than $11 million in signed revenue from luxury properties like Amangiri in Utah.

Amble expects to begin deliveries to resorts in mid-2027 before expanding to US and European consumers in 2028. A more conventional model, the Amble Two, is slated to arrive by 2029 and targets wealthy families seeking a second vehicle.
