Mercedes’s system will be priced at $3,950 for a three-year term

Mercedes-Benz announced its MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO, an advanced driver-assistance system capable of navigating complex city streets, will be available in the US this year.

The technology allows vehicles to drive autonomously under constant driver supervision. It has been sold in China since late 2025.

The launch positions Mercedes as the first direct competitor to Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) software, which has long dominated the US autonomous market.

Mercedes’s system will be priced at $3,950 for a three-year term, offering a competitive alternative to Tesla’s $8,000 upfront cost or $99 monthly subscription.

The upcoming new Mercedes-Benz CLA will feature the new autonomous system.
