Athleisure brand Outdoor Voices (OV) is making a comeback with its founder, Tyler Haney, who left the brand in 2020 amid leadership drama and financial struggles.
Once valued at $110 million, the direct-to-consumer brand peaked in 2018 before its valuation plummeted to $40 million, and Haney was eventually ousted.
OV also shuttered its 15 stores last year amid bankruptcy speculation. It is keeping retail on pause for now, with potential reopenings slated for this year.
Now, new owner Consortium Brand Partners is betting on Haney’s vision to revive the brand. She has returned to relaunch the activewear company with a new collection and a renewed focus on community, creativity, and brand identity.
