The Pentagon confirmed on Monday that US aerospace giant Boeing had received an $8.6 billion contract to produce more than 25 F-15IA fighter jets for the Israeli Air Force.

The deal is part of the F-15 Israel Program, and follows a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump in Florida this week.

Boeing’s St.Louis facility will manufacture the F-15s and deliver them before the end of 2035.

The US is the largest arms supplier to Israel and has come under scrutiny, especially from pro-Palestine and anti-war activists. They have repeatedly demanded stopping the weapons business with Jerusalem, citing the Gaza war.

However, neither Trump nor former President Joe Biden has acted on it.
