The Justice Department arrested four people tied to an alleged New Year’s Eve bombing plot in Los Angeles.
Authorities said the suspects, linked to the far-left Turtle Island Liberation Front, planned to plant backpacks with improvised explosive devices at five locations targeting two US companies.
According to court filings, the group reportedly acquired bomb-making materials and tested explosives in the Mojave Desert on December 12, 2025, but FBI agents intervened before they could assemble a functional device.
The arrested suspects, Audrey Illeene Carroll, Zachary Aaron Page, Dante Gaffield, and Tina Lai, now face charges of conspiracy and possession of an unregistered destructive device.
Officials say they have arrested everyone involved, including a fifth group member in Louisiana who was not part of the plan.
