Trump administration officials and Middle East allies are secretly discussing terms aimed at maintaining the Israel-Iran ceasefire and curbing Tehran’s uranium enrichment efforts to build nuclear weapons, reports CNN.

The explored offerings include giving Iran up to $30 billion in civilian nuclear energy investments, allowing access to $6 billion in frozen Iranian funds, and replacing the Fordow nuclear facility that the US attacked last week.

Officials caution that the ideas are in an early stage and are evolving, with no guarantees of Iranian acceptance.

Meanwhile, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei made his first public statement since the ceasefire in a prerecorded speech and said that the strikes US carried out on its nuclear sites did not achieve “anything significant.”
