Authorities in Utah are intensifying the search for the suspect who shot conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Wednesday.
Police released a new video showing a person matching the suspect’s description walking near Utah Valley University before the shooting and fleeing a campus roof afterward.
Investigators say a single supersonic bullet struck Kirk. A preliminary report by the DOJ that said the engravings on the ammunition with anti-fascist and transgender ideology didn’t match the evidence and could have been misinterpreted, per the New York Times.
Authorities believe the shooter is a college-age male.
Governor Spencer Cox urged the public to provide tips, noting the FBI has received over 7,000 leads.
Vice President JD Vance and his wife escorted Kirk’s casket to Arizona, while President Donald Trump announced plans to award him a Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Residents near the campus remain on edge as the manhunt continues.
