Saudi Arabia commits $1T investment in the US

President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced in Riyadh that Saudi Arabia would invest $1 trillion in the US, a staggering figure facing skepticism from experts.

The investment deal includes nearly $142 billion in US defense sales, supplying Saudi Arabia with advanced equipment and services, the White House said.

Separately, Trump also announced that he will lift sanctions on Syria, ahead of an expected meeting with its leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa.
