The White House will hold a press briefing Thursday, ending a 40-day break since reporters last gathered for an official briefing on July 23.
It follows the departure of former press secretary Karoline Leavitt on August 12. The administration has not yet revealed who will answer reporters’ questions.
Leavitt will remain connected to President Donald Trump as an outside adviser and work with his political group, MAGA Inc.
Trump has yet to name her successor, with several figures emerging as potential candidates, including CNN commentator Scott Jennings and former New Jersey Attorney General Alina Habba.
