Several Brewers fans who bought the $1,000 “Timeless Ticket” in 2015 and redeemed it for Game 1 of the World Series, which takes place in Milwaukee tomorrow, are unhappy with the seats they got.
A Timeless Ticket holder was granted admission to any future game, along with the option to purchase three additional tickets at full retail price for the game.
Now, with the Brewers making their first World Series appearance since 1982, several hundred fans have requested to redeem their tickets.
However, many have noticed they were offered subpar options, such as 400-level seats or standing-room choices, despite better seats available during the general public sale.
Rick Schlesinger, the Brewers’ president of business operations, acknowledged internal communication failures and a lapse in upholding the program’s spirit. He announced that everyone who applied before the deadline would keep their World Series tickets and their original Timeless Ticket for a future game.
However, the Brewers’ chances of reaching the World Series remain slim. In the franchise’s 57-year history, the team has appeared in the Fall Classic just twice.
