The spending optimism contrasted with market declines among tech peers like Meta and Google parent Alphabet.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) sales accelerated 37% year-over-year to $42.2 billion, marking its fastest growth in 18 quarters.

The tech giant also raised its full-year capex forecast by $20 billion to $220 billion.

For the third quarter, Amazon projects revenue between $197 billion and $202 billion.
