Musk gives ultimatum to remaining Twitter employees

Elon Musk wants the remaining Twitter employees to decide if they want to stick with the company and work for long hours at “high intensity,” or quit and collect three-month severance.

Musk’s deadline expires at 5 pm ET, today.

In his email to employees that was first reported by The Washington Post, Musk says he sees Twitter as “a software and servers company,” and values engineers the most.

Saddled with debt, the microblogging platform’s new owner wants the company to become profitable and has said it needs to move away from advertising and look into generating revenue from its other sources, like Twitter Blue.
