The ICEBlock app allows people to share the whereabouts of ICE personnel within a 5-mile radius of their location

The ICEBlock app, which allows users to report sightings of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents anonymously, surged to the top of the Apple App Store this week following intense criticism from Trump administration officials.

Several White House officials, including Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Attorney General Pam Bondi, press secretary Karoline Leavitt and ICE acting Director Todd M. Lyons, called the app an “obstruction of justice,” which helped fuel its viral popularity.

ICEBlock is now one of the most downloaded free iPhone apps in the US. It was released in April and was seen as a response to President Donald Trump’s mass detention and deportation efforts on illegal immigrants in the country.

It allows people to share the whereabouts of ICE personnel within a 5-mile radius of their location.
