Microsoft has launched a new business, Microsoft Frontier Company, to help enterprises successfully deploy artificial intelligence using the company’s existing AI tools.

The initiative is backed by a $2.5 billion investment and supported by 6,000 industry and engineering experts. The new unit will initially work with major customers, including Unilever and Novo Nordisk.

The move follows a growing trend among major AI companies. Earlier this week, Amazon Web Services committed $1 billion to a similar AI deployment venture, while OpenAI and Anthropic have also launched enterprise-focused AI initiatives.
