Elon Musk unveiled its humanoid robot prototype, Optimus at Tesla’s AI showcase yesterday. The robot walked, waved and danced even—did a "raise the roof" dance move—live on stage.
Insisting that the robot is “friendly,” the guests were shown videos of Optimus carrying boxes and watering plants. Tesla's CEO plans to use the robots in the company’s factories but envisions a future—just like in sci-fi movies—where Optimus will run errands for humans.
Musk predicts the robot to cost around $20,000.
