Twitter Blue will not launch on November 29 as previously planned. Owner Elon Musk has delayed the $ 8-a-month Blue Verified service “until there is high confidence of stopping impersonation,” he tweeted Monday evening.

He further added that the platform will “probably use different color check for organizations than individuals.”

The paid subscription service was rolled out earlier this month but had to be paused as it saw a rise in fake accounts claiming to be celebrities and organizations.
