AI actress Tilly Norwood gets a feature film

The AI-generated actress who stirred debate in Hollywood last year, Tilly Norwood, will star in a full-length feature called Misaligned, currently in early development.

The studio behind Norwood, Particle 6, announced the movie, describing it as a comedy-drama that follows an AI being who abandons her programming guardrails and begins feeling desire, ambition, and more after encountering a rogue bot.

In late 2025, the AI character sparked massive backlash from A-list actresses when Particle 6 claimed that talent agencies wanted to sign her.

Now, the company founder and CEO, Eline van der Velden, emphasized that the movie will pair AI specialists with traditional film and TV professionals.

Van der Velden said the film aims to prove that premium AI filmmaking requires substantial human craft, skill, and judgment.

She added that filmmakers who combine strong storytelling instincts with emerging AI tools over the next decade will be best positioned for success.
