While the deal isn’t closed yet, Bee CEO Maria de Lourdes Zollo posted on LinkedIn that the company is excited to join Amazon.
Bee sells an AI wrist wearable for $49.99, plus a $19-per-month subscription and an Apple Watch app. The gadget transcribes your daily chatter, including talking to yourself, and turns it into a searchable stream of memories, tasks, and reminders.
Bee markets itself as a more affordable alternative to pricier AI wearables like Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses, which start at $299.
The move signals Amazon’s deepening interest in personal AI technology. The company already offers Alexa, its voice-enabled assistant.
Though Bee claims it stores only transcripts and not audio, the bracelet’s always-on recording capability raises ongoing privacy concerns.
