Be ready for bustling airports this Thanksgiving holiday as the TSA estimates 30 million plus people to fly within a 12-day stretch that started Friday—2.5 million more than last year.

The flyers influx will test the country’s aviation system, which is already struggling with high demand.

The DOT is on high alert to ensure a smooth travel experience, while the FAA is gearing up for 50,000 flights on Wednesday alone.

What to expect?
Describing this holiday season as the “busiest ever,” TSA administrator David Pekoske expects Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday as peak travel days.
