The inaugural meeting of President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace is taking place in Washington, DC, today, with him chairing the event.

Several world dignitaries are expected to be present.

Attendees include officials from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Hungary, as well as high-profile figures like Jared Kushner, Marco Rubio, and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.

However, the summit faces significant pushback from traditional Western allies. Leaders from the UK, France, Germany, and the European Commission have declined to participate, citing concerns over the organization’s murky funding and its potential to undermine the United Nations.

The President touts that member states have pledged over $5 billion for Gaza’s reconstruction and are committed to sending thousands of personnel to build an international stabilization force (ISF) in the region to help the police.

Criticism intensified after it was revealed that a $1 billion donation could secure a permanent seat on the board.
