According to a NATO source, President Joe Biden told allies that a missile that hit Poland and killed two was a Ukrainian air defense missile.

Earlier President Biden had told reporters that an initial investigation showed the missile was unlikely to have been fired from Russian soil, considering its trajectory.

According to US officials, a preliminary investigation suggested that the missile was fired by Ukraine, to counter one of Russia’s incoming attacks. This contradicts the previous finding, but the investigation has not yet concluded.

A rocket fell on Przewodow, a village in Poland Tuesday, about 4 miles from the border with Ukraine. The explosion is of great concern as Poland is a NATO member and an attack means all NATO countries would be compelled to join.
