A Russian official told the United Nations (UN) that commercial satellites from Ukraine's allies could become targets as tension builds between the Kremlin and the White House.

Russian Foreign Ministry's Deputy Director Konstantin Vorontsov said using commercial satellites for military purposes is an “extremely dangerous trend,” and could become “legitimate” targets of the country.

Vorontsov did not specify which satellite system, but Elon Musk’s Starlink plays a crucial role in the Russia-Ukraine war, aiding in communication on the battlefield.
