Victory of Kherson marks ‘the beginning to the end of the war,’ says Zelensky

Surrounded by soldiers, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stood in central Kherson as a Ukrainian flag was raised over the city.

Zelensky said, “the price of this victory” is “very high” but it marks “the beginning to the end of the war.”

Russia’s retreat from Kherson is a significant blow to President Vladimir Putin, who some time back had declared the regional capital an integral part of Russia “forever.”
