Leaders gather to pay tribute to Dick Cheney

Political leaders from both parties came together in Washington, DC, on Thursday to pay their respects to former Vice President Dick Cheney, an influential figure from the pre-MAGA Republican era.

The funeral took place at the National Cathedral with full military honors.

However, President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance were notably absent and were not invited, according to a source. Vance wished the family well, while Trump has not commented publicly.

Former President George W. Bush delivered an emotional tribute, calling Cheney a dedicated public servant who lifted the standards of those around him. 

Other notable attendees include Former President Joe Biden and his wife, former Vice Presidents Kamala Harris, Mike Pence, Al Gore, and Dan Quayle.
