Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announced she will resign from Congress and that her last day would be January 5, 2026.
She recently had a public fallout with President Donald Trump over economic issues, foreign policy, and the Jeffrey Epstein case. Trump labeled her a “traitor” and vowed to support a challenger if she ran for reelection next year.
In a statement, she said, “I have too much self-respect and dignity, I love my family too much, and I don’t want my wonderful district to endure a painful, hateful primary launched against me by the very President we fought for—only for me to win while Republicans likely lose the midterms.”
