Tesla’s sales in Europe continue to fall, with just 13,863 cars sold in May across the European Union, Britain, and the European Free Trade Association.
This marks the fifth consecutive monthly decline and a 27.9% year-over-year drop, according to data released by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) on Wednesday.
Following the report, Tesla shares fell nearly 5% and are now down more than 18% year-to-date.
Meanwhile, Chinese automakers are gaining ground fast. They sold 65,808 cars in May and now command a 5.9% market share despite new EU tariffs.
