The man who rammed a Land Rover near a migrant shelter in Brownsville, Texas on Sunday—killing eight and injuring 10—has been charged with eight counts of manslaughter and 10 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

George Alvarez, the 34-year-old driver, has his bond set at $3.6 million.

He rammed the vehicle into several immigrants who were waiting at a bus stop across the street, from the Bishop Enrique San Pedro Ozanam Center, a non-profit homeless shelter helping to house migrants.
