A man who allegedly stabbed 11 people inside a Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan, on Saturday, now faces terrorism and multiple assault charges.

Authorities identified the attacker as Bradford Gille, 42, of Afton, Michigan. Bystanders were able to detain him at the Walmart parking lot before he was taken into custody.

Grand Traverse County Sheriff Michael Shea praised the civilians and officers for acting quickly.

Victims ranged from ages 29 to 84, including a Walmart employee.

All are expected to survive. Prosecutors said the terrorism charge reflects the broader fear caused in the community. Gille reportedly used a 3.5-inch folding knife. His motive remains unclear.
