A few days after the government made it easier to get abortion pills, Attorney General Steve Marshall said, women in Alabama can be prosecuted for choosing to end pregnancies through abortion pills.

Marshall’s statement said that prosecution could be based on a 2006 Alabama state law that protects children from illicit drugs—unborn children, too, in this case.
