Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Robert Hur, a former attorney, as special counsel to investigate how President Joe Biden handled classified documents dating back to the Obama administration.
Hur is to look into “possible unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or other records.”
In November, Biden’s lawyers found a stash of classified documents in an office he used for around three years. Another set of documents was discovered in his Delaware residence recently.
