The outcome could impact the 2024 election, as a ruling may decide Donald Trump’s eligibility not only in Colorado but also in the remaining states.

The Supreme Court has agreed to review a controversial decision by Colorado’s top court that deemed former President Donald Trump ineligible for the presidency and excluded him from the state’s primary ballot.

The decision that was reached in a 4-3 split on December 19 cited Trump’s alleged involvement in the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack as grounds for disqualification under the Constitution’s insurrection clause.

Trump’s appeal, set for arguments on February 8, challenges this interpretation.

The outcome could impact the 2024 election, as a ruling may decide Trump’s eligibility not only in Colorado but also in the remaining states.

Trump’s campaign expressed confidence in a favorable outcome.
